State Privacy Rights
Last updated: 2026-07-31
This notice adds to our Privacy Policy for residents of US states with comprehensive privacy laws — California under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and other states with equivalent statutes. Where this notice and the main policy differ, this one governs for those readers.
Exercising Your Rights
Rights include access to and confirmation of processing, correction, erasure, data portability, and the right to opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising; and, in several states, appealing a refusal. There is no penalty for exercising them — service, pricing and access remain identical.
Personal Information Categories
The categories that apply here are identifiers (IP address, cookie and device identifiers), internet or network activity (pages viewed on quietcatyears.com, referring pages, timestamps), and, only where you have provided it, contact information such as an email address. Sources are your own device and any analytics or advertising partner in use.
Whether We Sell or Share
We do not sell personal information for money. However, where advertising is served, advertising identifiers and cookie data may be shared with advertising partners, and under the CCPA/CPRA and similar laws that sharing can itself qualify as a ‘sale’ or as ‘sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising’. You can opt out of it: see Do Not Sell or Share My Information. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
How to Exercise
Write to hello@quietcatyears.com describing your request. Opt-outs can also be exercised without writing at all, by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser — we act on that signal automatically. Requests are verified via the email address used, handled within statutory deadlines, and may be submitted by an authorised agent holding your written permission.
